FOR ENG:- Do NOT take the following medications 48 hours prior to your ENG appointment:
- Anti-nausea medicine: Dramamine, Compazine, Bonine, Marezine, Vontrol, Phenergan, Thorazine, etc.
- Anti-vertigo medicine: Antivert, Ruvert, etc.
- Tranquilizers: Valium, Librim, Atarax, Vistaril, Equanil, Miltown, Triavil, Serax, Etrafon, etc.
- Sedatives: Nembutal, Secondal, Dalmane, Doriden, Placidyl, Quaalude, Butison, or any other sleeping pills.
- Narcotics and Barbiturates: Phenobarbital, Codeine, Demerol, Dilaudid, Percodan, Phenaphen, etc.
- Antihistamines: Chlor-Trimeton, Dimetane, Discphrol, Benedryl, Acifed, Teldrin, Triaminic, any over-the-counter cold remedies, etc.
- Alcohol in any quantity: Including beer, wine, and cough medicines containing alcohol.
- DO NOT take any of the following on the morning of the test:
- COFFEE
- TEA
- COLA
- CIGARETTES
- No facial make-up
- ABSOLUTELY NO EATING OR SMOKING 4 HOURS BEFORE THE TEST
